Job summary

The Flying Otter Grill in Victoria's Inner Harbour is hiring servers for full-time temporary and part-time temporary roles. We value energy, confidence, and authentic hospitality to deliver memorable dining experiences.

Starting wage is $19.00/hour plus tips. You’ll work with a great team, enjoy discount travel perks, staff meals, and events. Serving It Right is required, with evening, weekend, and holiday availability essential.

Qualifications

• Passion for hospitality and memorable guest experiences.
• Previous serving experience in fast-paced restaurants preferred.
• Serving It Right certification required.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.

We're looking for Servers who bring energy, confidence, and authentic hospitality to every table. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, can read a table with ease, and love making every guest feel welcome, we'd love to meet you.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver warm, genuine service from the moment guests arrive until they leave.
• Guide guests through our food and beverage menu with confidence.
• Create memorable dining experiences through exceptional hospitality.
• Manage your section efficiently while supporting your teammates.
• Communicate seamlessly with the kitchen and fellow team members.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
• Process guest payments accurately and responsibly.

What You’ll Bring

• A passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Previous serving experience in a fast-paced restaurant (preferred).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with guests.
• The ability to stay calm, organized, and positive during busy services.
• A team-first mindset—you jump in because that's what great teams do.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in your work.
• Serving It Right certification (required).
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
