Job summary

Franklin Gardens Residence is seeking a Manager of Clinical Informatics to lead data governance and CIHI reporting for resident care. You will drive interRAI LTCF processes, quality improvement, staff education, and AIS certification coordination. The role requires mentoring staff, ensuring data integrity, and compliance with care standards.

You will collaborate with the Director of Care and interdisciplinary teams to advance patient-centered care and timely quality reporting across the home.

Qualifications

• Licensed health professional with regulatory authority in a Canadian jurisdiction (outside Ontario).
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with adult education strategies and facilitation.
• Ability to identify training needs of teams and individuals.
• Proficient computer skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of interRAI LTCF – AIS certified as RAI Educator; if not, completion within 2 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Informatics on CQI and interRAI LTCF during onboarding of new staff or students.
• Educate staff on interRAI LTCF, R=CAPS, outcome measures, quality indicators, and reports.
• Coordinate AIS certification for all newly hired registered staff and annually thereafter.
• Develop processes with management to ensure data integrity, timely assessments and data use.
• Establish data quality processes to evaluate coding accuracy and timely completion.
• Lead the organization’s CQI program and annual CQI plan, and risk management activities.
• Participate in quality initiatives and annual reporting (QIP).
• Understand the nature of quality indicators and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate CIHI data submission processes.
• Lead Nursing Restorative program and mentor therapists.
• Orientate new staff to Nursing Restorative philosophy and criteria.
• Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and monitor standards via CQI.
