Job summary

Extendicare is seeking an Assistant Director of Care to lead clinical programs, oversee quality initiatives, and ensure safe, high-quality resident care. You will work with the Director of Care and interdisciplinary teams to uphold standards and regulatory compliance across our long-term care home.

The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and continuous improvement in a compassionate, mission-driven environment in Canada.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years as Registered staff in long-term care; managerial experience preferred.
• Current and unrestricted RN registration with provincial body.
• CPR certification required and strong leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned program areas per Extendicare’s Model of Care and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with Director of Care and care staff to deliver resident-centered care.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and oversee regulatory compliance.
• Engage with residents and families to promote service excellence.
