Qualicum School District is seeking a Clerical Spare / On Call Casual to provide relief clerical support at schools and departments. The role reports to the site supervisor and includes switchboard and reception duties, general office tasks, ordering supplies, typing correspondence and reports, and basic bookkeeping.
Candidates should have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and, ideally, an office administration credential or at least six months of related experience.

JOB TITLE: Clerical Spare / On Call Casual
JOB FUNCTION: An employee in this classification performs a variety of clerical services on a relief basis to schools and various departments.
REPORTING TO: Supervisor at the work site.
This position has no guarantee of hours.Spares shall make themselves available for calls from the dispatch clerk between 6:45am - 8:45am Monday and Friday. Spares are called in rotational order for dispatch.
Successful applicants must successfully complete an Authorization for Criminal Records Search pursuant to the Criminal Records Review Act every 5 years.
