Qualicum School District is seeking an Electrician to maintain electrical systems across district facilities on Vancouver Island. The role ensures compliance with codes and safety standards, including fire alarms, security, and energy systems.
The position reports to the Director of Operations or designate and requires a BC trades qualification and five years of experience, plus a valid BC driver’s license and first aid certificate.

We serve a student population of approximately 4700 students. Qualicum School District consists of eight elementary schools (Grades K-7), two secondary schools (Grade 8-12), an alternate school (PASS/Woodwinds) and a Distributed Learning program to support home-learning families called the Collaborative Education Alternative Program (CEAP). JOB TITLE: Electrician
An employee in this classification performs maintenance on the electrical systems and other internal systems of the physical plant that are associated with the electrical trade to allow full use of school district facilities and equipment at all times. An employee in this classification also ensures that all maintenance performed is in accordance with applicable codes, WorkSafe BC Guidelines & Regulations, bylaws and procedures in force within the School District.
