Job summary

Thorwin Properties is hiring for a permanent full-time Cleaner in Winnipeg, MB. This 40-hour-per-week role requires daytime availability and a valid driver’s license with a reliable vehicle.

You will clean apartment homes to the company’s standards, maintain common areas, and assist with grounds and safety practices. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of residential cleaning experience.

Qualifications

• Must be able to bend, lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical cleaning duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the cleanliness of apartment homes to Management standards.
• Cleaning of suites and building common areas (vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, fixtures).

This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours a week. Daytime availability is required.

What you will do

Under the direction of the Property Manager, the Cleanerduties include, but not limited to:

Maintaining the cleanliness of the apartment homes to the standard of Management:

• Performs suite and building cleaning duties following Company standards in apartment homes and building public areas including, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping all floors including stairwells, cleaning windows, dusting all surfaces, cleaning light fixtures, wiping mailboxes, washing walls, etc.
• Cleaning of grounds including litter control and animal clean up.
• Execute all work in a safe, professional manner and in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
• Other duties as required

Qualifications / Skills

• Must maintain a professional and courteous manner with guests, residents, visitors, contractors, and fellow employees.
• Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle is required.
• Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions and be able to maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
• Must be organized and pay attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Be able to use a mobile internet device or smartphone for texting and emailing.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years experience as residential cleaner.

Abilities (Physical)

• Must be physically able to bend, kneel, stretch, sweep, mop, shovel, climb stairs and lift 50 lbs.
• Physical ability to move, pull and push furniture if required.
