Forthright Properties in Winnipeg, MB is seeking a reliable Cleaner to join our Property Operations team. You will maintain cleanliness in residential suites and common areas, handle turnover cleaning, and support our communities.

This role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow safety procedures, and good communication with residents and contractors. A Manitoba Class 5 license and willingness to use a vehicle are assets.

Qualifications

• Valid Manitoba Class 5 driver’s licence or equivalent.
• Clear Criminal Record Check.
• Residential/commercial/janitorial cleaning experience is an asset.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and follow safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our Property Operations team. This role plays an important part in creating clean, safe, and welcoming environments for our residents, visitors, and team members.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Location: Winnipeg, MB and surrounding properties

About the Role

The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation in residential suites and common areas throughout our properties. This includes suite turnovers, routine cleaning, common area maintenance, and supporting the overall appearance and cleanliness of our communities.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare vacant suites for new residents, including kitchens, bathrooms, appliances, windows, and flooring.
• Assist with turnover cleaning and month-end unit preparation.
• Clean and sanitize common areas, including hallways, stairwells, lobbies, entrances, mechanical rooms, and electrical rooms.
• Empty garbage and recycling containers and ensure proper waste disposal.
• Assist with exterior litter and garbage collection around properties.
• Restock cleaning supplies and report inventory needs to the supervisor.
• Follow established health and safety procedures when handling cleaning products and equipment.
• Identify and report maintenance concerns, property damage, or unsafe conditions to the Maintenance Team.
• Assist with cleaning related to special projects, emergencies, or unexpected situations.
• Maintain security and confidentiality when accessing tenant suites.
• Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with residents, contractors, and team members.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
