Ironclad Properties Inc. is seeking a Building Cleaner for a new multi-family apartment complex on Bear Mountain.

The successful candidate will maintain cleanliness of common areas, amenities, and exterior spaces, while supporting move-in/move-out preparations and reporting maintenance concerns promptly. Role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in commercial, residential, or janitorial cleaning is an asset.
• Knowledge of safe cleaning practices, equipment, and chemical handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all common areas and amenity spaces across the building.
• Empty waste and recyclables and keep exterior spaces free of litter.
• Vacuum, sweep, and sanitize floors and surfaces to a high standard.
• Polish doors, windows, and glass surfaces; maintain clean entrances and elevator interiors.
• Disinfect washrooms and sanitize fixtures.
• Ensure exterior entrances, sidewalks, and outdoor spaces are well presented.
• Assist with resident move-ins/move-outs as required.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly to the Supervisor or Caretaker.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and store supplies properly.

We are seeking a Building Cleaner for our new multi-family apartment complex on Bear Mountain who will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, appearance, and overall presentation of assigned residential properties. This role ensures common areas, amenities, and exterior spaces are clean, safe, and welcoming while supporting move-in and move-out preparations and reporting maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain all common areas, including hallways, stairwells, entrances, elevators, parkades, laundry rooms, amenity spaces, and restrooms.
• Empty garbage, recycling, and cigarette receptacles, removing litter and debris throughout the property.
• Vacuum carpeted areas, sweep floors, and wash, sanitize, and maintain hard surface flooring throughout the building.
• Clean and polish entrance doors, windows, glass surfaces, and elevator interiors, including tracks and surrounding areas.
• Clean and disinfect washrooms, including sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, and other fixtures.
• Sanitize fitness equipment, common room furnishings, and other shared amenities as required.
• Wash walls, doors, and other interior surfaces as needed to maintain a clean and professional appearance.
• Maintain the cleanliness of exterior entrances, sidewalks, walkways, parking areas, and other outdoor common spaces by removing litter and debris.
• Assist with apartment cleaning and preparation for resident move-ins and move-outs as required.
• Monitor building cleanliness and identify maintenance or safety concerns, reporting issues promptly to the Supervisor, Resident Manager, or Caretaker.
• Operate cleaning equipment and safely handle cleaning products in accordance with company procedures and safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting shortages or repair needs as required.
• Represent the company professionally while interacting with residents, contractors, visitors, and team members.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities consistent with the scope and level of the position.

Skills and Experience:

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively with minimal supervision.

• Reliable, dependable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• WHMIS certification or willingness to obtain certification is considered an asset.
