Job summary

Stubbe's is seeking a reliable Cleaner to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and guests at Hawthorne Apartments in Stratford, Ontario. The role covers common areas, offices, and residential buildings with a strong emphasis on attention to detail and consistent presentation.

Responsibilities include dusting, sanitizing surfaces, sweeping and mopping, vacuuming, restroom sanitation, waste handling, and reporting issues.

Qualifications

• Ontario G2 or G driver's licence required.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and operate cleaning equipment.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and other hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain exceptional cleanliness in apartment buildings, offices, and common areas.
• Dust, clean, and sanitize all surfaces including high-touch areas.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and maintain all flooring with attention to corners.
• Vacuum carpets and perform spot cleaning and deep cleaning as needed.
• Clean washrooms and keep them stocked and presentable.
• Empty waste/recycling, replace liners, and keep disposal areas odor-free.
• Report maintenance issues and safety concerns observed during daily inspections.
• Assist with seasonal property maintenance, snow/ice removal, and basic landscaping tasks.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are organized and properly stored.

Hawthorne Apartments is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents and guests. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work and is committed to ensuring all common areas, amenities, and shared spaces are clean, well-maintained, and inviting.

Your Day to Day:

Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness throughout apartment buildings, offices, and common areas, ensuring every space is clean, organized, and welcoming.

Thoroughly dust, clean, and sanitize all surfaces, including vents, baseboards, ledges, countertops, and other high-touch areas.

Sweep, mop, scrub, and maintain all flooring, paying close attention to corners, edges, and hard-to-reach areas.

Vacuum carpets and rugs, performing spot cleaning, stain removal, and deep cleaning as needed to maintain a professional appearance.

Clean and sanitize washrooms, including sinks, toilets, showers, mirrors, fixtures, and dispensers, ensuring they remain fully stocked and presentable.

Clean windows, glass surfaces, doors, and mirrors to a streak-free finish.

Empty waste and recycling receptacles, replacing liners and ensuring disposal areas remain clean and odor-free.

Regularly inspect assigned areas to identify cleaning needs and address overlooked details before they become concerns.

Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure all supplies are organized, properly stored, and replenished as needed.

Promptly report maintenance issues, repairs, or safety concerns observed during daily inspections.

Perform routine outdoor cleaning and groundskeeping, including litter removal, sweeping walkways, and maintaining entrances and common areas.

Assist with seasonal property maintenance, including snow and ice removal, salting walkways, and basic landscaping tasks.

Take pride in maintaining a consistently clean, safe, and professional environment for residents, guests, and employees by demonstrating a high level of care and attention to detail in every task.
