Job summary

Stubbe's is seeking a reliable Cleaner to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming environments at Hawthorne Apartments in Stratford, Ontario. You will be responsible for common areas, amenities, and shared spaces, ensuring high cleanliness standards with attention to detail.

The role requires physical stamina and flexibility for evenings and weekends. Ideal candidates will lift up to 30 lbs, operate cleaning equipment, and hold a valid Ontario G2 or G licence with reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and other hours as required.
• Valid Ontario G2 or G driver’s licence with reliable transportation.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs and operate cleaning equipment.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, stretch and perform repetitive tasks.
• Experience in maintaining clean, safe common areas is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness in apartment buildings, offices, and common areas.
• Dust, clean and sanitize surfaces including vents, baseboards and counters.
• Sweep, mop, scrub floors and vacuum carpets; spot clean as needed.
• Clean and sanitize washrooms; restock supplies.
• Clean windows, doors and mirrors to a streak-free finish.
• Manage waste and recycling; replace liners and keep disposal areas odor-free.
• Report maintenance issues observed during daily inspections.
• Perform outdoor cleaning and seasonal groundskeeping tasks.
• Support seasonal property maintenance including snow/ice removal.

Hawthorne Apartments is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents and guests. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work and is committed to ensuring all common areas, amenities, and shared spaces are clean, well-maintained, and inviting.

Your Day to Day:

• Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness throughout apartment buildings, offices, and common areas, ensuring every space is clean, organized, and welcoming.
• Thoroughly dust, clean, and sanitize all surfaces, including vents, baseboards, ledges, countertops, and other high-touch areas.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and maintain all flooring, paying close attention to corners, edges, and hard-to-reach areas.
• Vacuum carpets and rugs, performing spot cleaning, stain removal, and deep cleaning as needed to maintain a professional appearance.
• Clean and sanitize washrooms, including sinks, toilets, showers, mirrors, fixtures, and dispensers, ensuring they remain fully stocked and presentable.
• Clean windows, glass surfaces, doors, and mirrors to a streak–free finish.
• Empty waste and recycling receptacles, replacing liners and ensuring disposal areas remain clean and odor‑free.
• Regularly inspect assigned areas to identify cleaning needs and address overlooked details before they become concerns.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure all supplies are organized, properly stored, and replenished as needed.
• Promptly report maintenance issues, repairs, or safety concerns observed during daily inspections.
• Perform routine outdoor cleaning and groundskeeping, including litter removal, sweeping walkways, and maintaining entrances and common areas.
• Assist with seasonal property maintenance, including snow and ice removal, salting walkways, and basic landscaping tasks.
• Take pride in maintaining a consistently clean, safe, and professional environment for residents, guests, and employees by demonstrating a high level of care and attention to detail in every task.
