Job summary

Emterra Group in Victoria, BC is seeking a safety-minded driver to operate a cube van with a power liftgate, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensure routes are completed on time and safely while delivering excellent customer service.

You must hold a valid Class 5 licence with a clean driving record, have experience driving a 5-ton truck, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and demonstrate punctuality, reliability and teamwork; background checks will be conducted.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 with a clean driver record.
• Experience driving a 5 ton Truck.
• Professional experience driving with required licence.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Able to pass a medical/drug test, criminal history search, license verification and employment confirmation.

Responsibilities

• Drive and load organics and recycling collection vehicle as required.
• Observe safe work practices at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service in line with company policies.
• Ensure assigned routes are completed on time and safely.
• Perform pre and post trip inspections and complete Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.

Position Description:

• Drive and load organics and recycling collection vehicle (cube van with power liftgate);
• Observe safe work practices;
• Provide excellent customer service in accordance with company policies;
• Ensure assigned routes are successfully completed in a timely and safe manner;
• Conduct pre and post trip inspections and complete Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.

Skills & Qualification:

• Valid Class 5 with a clean driver record;
• Experience of driving a 5 ton Truck

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs;
