Job summary

Emterra Group is seeking a Class 3 Driver to safely operate a Class 3 vehicle with air brakes for residential recycling collection, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, deliver materials to the processing facility, and provide professional service to customers.

The role involves manual loading, frequent entry and exit from the truck, and physically demanding work while maintaining a strong focus on safety and service.

Qualifications

• Requires Class 3 license with air brake endorsement.
• Must have clean driver’s abstract.
• Minimum 2 years working experience driving with required license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• The ability to work overtime on an “as-needed” basis.
• Good command of the English language (verbal and written).
• Experience in the waste and recycling industry – an asset.

Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient operation of a Class 3 motor vehicle (with air brakes).
• Conduct all activities according to the collection schedule.
• Perform curbside recycling collection to meet or exceed contract requirements.
• Conduct daily inspection of vehicle and complete related documentation.
• Communicate with supervisor regarding concerns or suggestions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Class 3 Driver will safely operate aClass 3 vehicle with air brakes to collect residential recycling, perform pre-and post-trip inspections, deliver materials to the processing facility, and provideprofessional service to customers.

Thisroleoperatesa right-hand-drive Class 3 recycling truck. Thedriveris required tomanually load recyclables by emptyingresidential recycling bins into one of three side-loader compartments. Theposition requires frequent entry andexitfrom the vehicle at eachstop and involves consistent physicallabourthroughout the day. Thesuccessful candidate must be comfortable with manual handling and working in aphysically demanding environment whilemaintaininga strong focus onsafety and service.
