Job summary

Emterra Group in Abbotsford, BC is hiring a Class 3 Driver to safely operate a vehicle with air brakes and collect residential recycling. You will perform daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections and maintain a professional service mindset with customers and the Route Supervisor.

Requires a Class 3 license with Air Endorsement, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the ability to build effective relationships with customers and coworkers.

Qualifications

• Class 3 license with Air Endorsement and an abstract acceptable to the Employer.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Ability to establish effective professional relationships with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to recognize vehicle maintenance needs.
• Punctual, reliable, team player.
• Experience in the waste and recycling industry or similar industry – an asset.

Responsibilities

• Safe operations of a Class 3 vehicle with air brakes.
• Safe collection of residential recycle blue boxes.
• Daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Observe safe work practices.
• Delivery of recycling to the recycle processing facility.
• Effective communication with the Route Supervisor and customers.
