Job summary

Emterra Group in Abbotsford, BC, seeks a Class 3 licensed driver to safely operate a vehicle with air brakes, perform residential recycling collection, and support safety and efficiency in daily operations.

You will conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, communicate with the Route Supervisor and customers, and uphold a professional image while contributing to waste diversion and the circular economy.

Qualifications

• Class 3 license with Air Endorsement accepted by Employer.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Establish professional relationships with customers and co-workers.
• Recognize vehicle maintenance needs.
• Be punctual, reliable and a team player.
• Experience in waste/recycling industry is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Safe operations of a Class 3 vehicle with air brakes.
• Safe collection of residential recycling blue boxes.
• Daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Observe safe work practices.
• Delivery of recycling to the recycling processing facility.
• Effective communication with Route Supervisor and customers; and,
• Providing a professional collection service and promoting a positive company image.

Position Description
