Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 driver’s license with manual transmission.
• Bondable and legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Clean CVOR and driver’s abstract.
• Verifiable recent commercial driving experience (past 3–12 months).
• Strong knowledge of Saskatoon and surrounding areas.
• Experience driving in winter conditions.
• Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport freight across Saskatoon.
• Complete deliveries and pickups within Saskatoon in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
• Operate tractor-trailer equipment in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Secure freight using straps, chains, and load bars, ensuring compliance with load-security standards.
• Transport general freight in accordance with safety and regulatory guidelines.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; report issues as needed.
• Accurately complete all required documentation (e-logs, delivery paperwork).
• Maintain compliance with hours-of-service regulations and company procedures.
• Maintain flexibility for overtime, weekends, or overnight runs as required.

• Secure freight using appropriate equipment such as straps, chains, and load bars, ensuring compliance with load-securement standards
• Transport general freight in accordance with safety and regulatory guidelines
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections of the vehicle, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and cargo securement; promptly report any issues to the maintenance department for timely repairs.
• Accurately complete all required documentation, including e-logs, inspection reports, delivery paperwork, and incident reports
• Maintain compliance with hours-of-service regulations, safety policies, and company procedures
• Maintain flexibility to meet operational and customer demands, including variable schedules, overtime, weekends, or overnight runs as required

Core Requirements

• Valid Class 1 driver's license (manual transmission required)
• Bondable and legally eligible to work in Canada
• Clean CVOR and driver’s abstract
• Verifiable recent commercial driving experience (within the past 3 months to 1 year)
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations, hours of service, and load securement
• Experience operating commercial vehicles in winter driving conditions
• Physically able to lift to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as required
• Strong customer service and communication skills with a professional, safety-focused approach
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable Class 1 truck driving experience
• Strong knowledge of Saskatoon and surrounding areas

Specialized Equipment

• Previous experience operating specialized equipment, including tailgates, forklifts, power and manual pallet jacks, pump trucks, or Moffett's

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely perform hand-bombing, including manual loading and unloading of freight, as required
