Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) in Granby, Canada, is seeking a Class 1 driver for a full-time, permanent role from Monday to Friday, 8:00-17:00. You will transport metals to customers and AIM sites, perform pre-trip inspections, and assist with loading and unloading the trailer.

Applicants must hold a valid Class 1 FM driver’s licence with a clean driving record, with at least two years of experience. A strong focus on health and safety, reliability, punctuality, and customer service is required.

Qualifications

• You hold a valid Class 1 FM driver’s licence and have a good driving record.
• You have a minimum of at least 2 years of experience.
• You are conscientious about Health and Safety.
• You are in excellent physical condition.
• You provide excellent customer service.
• You are reliable, diligent, and punctual.
• You have a strong respect for equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

• Transporting metals to our various customers as well as to the AIM site.
• Performing the inspection round before hitting the road.
• Participating in loading and unloading the trailer.
• Ensuring that safety standards established by law and by the employer are respected at all times without exception.
• Using different types of heavy vehicles as required.
