Job summary

AIM Recycling St John's Newfoundland has an immediate need for the driver position. The candidate will be responsible for the pick-up and/or delivery of various metal products using AIM assets.

You will secure loads, tarp when required, keep equipment clean, perform daily inspections and timely reports, and always work in a safe manner. Requirements: Class 1 licence, a good driving abstract, and a minimum of two years' experience.

Qualifications

• Class 1 licence required.
• Good driving record (abstract).
• Minimum two years of driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Pickup and/or delivery of metal products to customers or other AIM sites.
• Secure loads and tarp when necessary.
• Keep equipment clean and in good working condition.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and keep reports up-to-date.

Job Description

AIM Recycling St John's Newfoundland has an immediate need the driver position. The candidate will be responsible for the pick-up and/or delivery of various metal products using different types of AIM assets.

• Pick up and/or deliver to AIM’s commercial clients or another AIM site;
• Secure the loads;
• Tarp the load, if necessary;
• Keep the equipment clean and in good working condition;
• Perform a daily inspection;
• Keep reports up-to-date;
• Always work in a safe manner.

Qualifications

• Class 1 licence required
• Good drivers abstract;
• Minimum two (2) years experience

Aptitudes Requested:

• Follow all laws and regulations, in regards to driving truck;
• Responsible, careful and alert at all times;
• Willing and able to perform labour intensive tasks;
• Good knowledge of roads

Additional Information

• Full time and permanent position;
• Overtime paid at time and a half after 40 hours.
• Will be some over night travel
