Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) in Canada is seeking a Class 1 driver to transport metals to clients and AIM sites. The role requires a valid Class 1 FM license, a clean driving record, and a strong focus on safety and customer service.

You will conduct pre-trip inspections, assist with loading/unloading, and operate various heavy vehicles as needed. The position offers overtime, a yearly bonus, benefits, and an RRSP contribution program.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 FM driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Minimum 2 years of driving experience.

Job Description

Our team is currently looking for a Class 1 driver. We are looking for a candidate who adapts easily to change and is ready to take on new challenges.

What you will be responsible for:

• Carrying out the transportation of metals to our various clients as well as on AIM sites
• Carrying out pre-trip inspections before taking the road
• Participating in loading and unloading the trailer
• Ensuring that safety standards established by law and by the employer are respected at all times without exception
• Using different types of heavy vehicles as needed
