Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking a versatile Class 1 Driver to join our transportation team at the Lévis, Québec site, working Monday to Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

You will safely transport metal materials to and from client sites and AIM facilities, performing inspections and maintaining logs. Ideal candidates have a valid Class 1 FM license with a clean driving record and at least 2 years of Class 1 driving experience.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 FM driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Experience driving manual transmission.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Class 1 driver.
• Customer‑service oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good physical endurance and ability to perform loading/unloading as needed.
• Knowledge of metal recycling processes is an asset.
• Experience with dump trucks / Roll‑offs is an asset.
• Punctual, reliable, and respectful of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate heavy vehicles used to transport metal materials between client sites and AIM facilities.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections and ensure trucks are in good working condition.
• Safely load and unload materials, secure loads, and maintain accurate delivery logs.
• Provide high‑quality customer service and follow company policies and road regulations.

Job Description

We are looking for a versatile, qualified, and professionalClass 1 Driverto join our transportation team at our Lévis, Québec site, from Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of metal materials to and from client sites and other AIM facilities.

What You Are Responsible For

Driving & Operating Heavy Vehicles

Drive and maneuver several types of heavy vehicles, including:

• 12‑wheel Lugger
• Operatinga variety of Class 1 utility vehicles to transport metal materials while ensuring compliance with road regulations and company policies
• Performing routine pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of the truck, ensuring it is in proper working condition
• Safely loading and unloading metal materials onto the truck when required, using appropriate equipment, and secure loads to prevent shifting or damage during transport
• Completingaccurate and thorough logs of deliveries and any other required documentation
• Providinghigh‑quality customer service

Qualifications

To Join Our Team:

• You have a validClass 1 FM driver’s licenseand a good Driving Record
• You have experience driving manual transmission
• You have a minimum of2 years of experienceas a Class 1 driver
• You are customer‑service oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• You have good physical endurance and the ability to perform loading and unloading activities when needed
• You have knowledge of metal recycling processes and materials (an asset)
• You have experience with dump trucks / Roll‑offs (an asset)
• You are in good physical condition and have strong safety awareness
• You have good customer service skills
• You are punctual, reliable, and respectful of equipment
