Job summary

Gallagher Bassett is seeking an experienced leader to mentor a team responsible for delivering exceptional client experiences in the claims space. The role focuses on supervising an adjusting, administrative, or technical staff and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a college/university degree, relevant licensing, and at least 5 years of adjusting experience with 3+ years in supervision.

Qualifications

• Strong quantitative, analytical and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of product standards and provincial laws/regulations.
• Experience with property, general liability and auto garage claims.
• Excellent organizational and time-management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Interview and train new staff in procedures and functions.
• Coordinate and supervise daily staff activities.
• Maintain advanced customer and carrier relationships.
• Communicate essential information to staff.
• Identify performance and personnel issues and address them.
• Assess training and development needs of staff.
• Review staff performance, hiring and merit processes.
• Manage productivity per company best practices.
• Conduct audits and file reviews; diary and report management.
• Handle miscellaneous duties as assigned.

How you'll make an impact

About you

Skills

• Good quantitative, analytical and communication skills, knowledge of all job related functions of subordinates.
• Demonstrate adjusting, negotiating skills and a thorough knowledge of Product Standards and provincial laws and regulations.
• Strong understanding and experience of Property, General Liability, and Auto Garage claims.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills required.
• French would be an asset.

Qualifications

• Appropriately licensed and/or certified in all provinces which claims oversight and direction is being provided.

Supervision of Others

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead a team of technical and skilled employees

Relationships

• Good interpersonal skills including the ability to work in conjunction with and support all administration management, supervisory and staff positions.
• Advanced client and carrier relationship skills.

Experience

• College/University degree preferred
• Partial/Full completion of CIP, Minimum courses completed C11, C12, C13, C14, C110, C111, C112, C32
• Licensing in appropriate provinces
• 5 years adjusting experience and a minimum 3 years of supervision.
