Job summary

Gallagher Bassett Canada is seeking a Claims Supervisor to lead a team of adjusters and administrative staff in delivering high-quality claims handling for commercial auto and CGL. The role emphasizes mentoring, process improvement, and cross-jurisdiction experience to drive performance.

You will manage multiple priorities, coordinate with clients and carriers, and foster a collaborative, results-driven culture across our fast-paced Canadian operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 5 years related claims experience required.
• CIP completion or in progress with minimum courses for licensing C110, C11. C12 C14.
• Licensed and/or certified in all provinces where claims are handled or able to obtain licenses per local requirements.
• Extensive knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices.
• Computer experience with related claims and business software.

How will you affect the business?

• Experience in Commerical Auto and CGL.
• Familiarity with litigation, mediation and other legal processes.
• Drive adjuster hiring and development which results in a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• Lead a claims team that delivers high quality and efficient service.
• Guide, mentor, and develop a team of direct reports through the development of team goals and workload balancing protocols, while encouraging and delivering strong performance Continuously finding ways to improve teams' efficiency and quality utilizing Gallagher's technology.
• Communicate with clients, carriers, and brokers in a professional and proactive manner.
• Effectively lead multiple priorities, recognize coaching opportunities, and position team members for success.

Extensive knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices. Computer experience with related claims and business software. Preferred: Bachelor's degree preferred. Behaviors: Ability to think critically, solve problems, plan and organize activities, serve clients, negotiate, effectively communicate verbally and in writing and embrace new challenges. Analytical skill necessary to make decisions and resolve complex issues inherent in handling losses. Ability to successfully negotiate the settlement and disposition of serious claims including the ability to interpret related documentation.
