Job summary

The Salvation Army in Canada is seeking a Christmas Kettle Coordinator on a short-term contract. The coordinator will oversee multiple kettle locations, organize staff and volunteers, and ensure secure handling of donations during shifts.

Responsibilities include recruitment support, scheduling, and maintaining relationships with kettle sites, with travel to sites as required. This role requires strong customer service and office administration skills.

Qualifications

• Some high school coursework; completion of high school is an asset.
• Money handling experience is an asset.
• Experience with general office equipment and strong Word/Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend a day of training/orientation on The Salvation Army and the Christmas Kettle Campaign.
• Provide support in getting Kettles to zone locations prior to staff and/or volunteers arrival.
• Ensure all Kettle donations are delivered to secure location at shift completion.
• Communicate daily issues and supply deficiencies to the supervisor.
• Orient and remind staff/volunteers on proper Kettle handling and duties as required.
