Job summary

North Eastern Ontario Family and Children’s Services in Timmins seeks a full-time Investigation, Assessment and Ongoing Worker. You will provide a wide range of children’s services, including preventive and child protection services, risk assessments, and protection plans with the necessary documentation to determine disposition.

Ideal candidates hold an MSW/BSW (or related degree) and bring strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• MSW or BSW preferred; college diploma may be considered
• Experience with children, youth and families is an asset
• Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislative requirements
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Willing to work flexible hours and travel as required
• Bilingual English/French is an asset
• Must have G2 license and be willing to obtain G license or have access to a vehicle

Responsibilities

• Provide a broad spectrum of children’s services, including preventive and child protection services
• Complete risk assessments and develop protection plans
• Prepare documentation to determine disposition decisions

Skills

MSW/BSW preferred

Experience with children/youth/familie

Strong communication skills

Bilingual English/French asset

Driver's license G2/G with vehicle

Education

MSW/BSW preferred

College Diploma in Social Services considered

Other relevant university degrees
