Job summary

North Eastern Ontario Family and Children's Services (NEOFACS) seeks an Investigation, Assessment and Ongoing Worker for a twelve-month contract in Kirkland Lake or Englehart. You will deliver a range of child and family services, including preventive and protective work, risk assessments and protection planning.

The ideal candidate has an MSW/BSW (or college diploma in social services) with strong communication and organizational skills; willing to travel and work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• MSW or BSW preferred; college diploma considered with other degrees.
• Experience with children, youth and families is an asset.
• Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventive and child protection services to children and families.
• Complete risk assessments and develop protection plans.
• Prepare required documentation to determine disposition.
