Job summary

North Eastern Ontario Family and Children’s Services in Timmins is seeking a Protection Support Worker for a twelve-month, full-time contract.

You will join the Investigation, Assessment and Ongoing team, delivering preventative and protective interventions for individuals, children and families connected to our child protection programs.

The role requires a college diploma in human services, flexibility with hours and travel, and a commitment to an inclusive recruitment process.

Qualifications

• College Diploma in Human Services is required.
• Must be willing and able to work flexible hours.
• Must be willing to travel as required.
• Ability to interpret and apply legislative requirements.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
• Drivers license (minimum G2) and access to a vehicle; willingness to obtain G Class license.

Responsibilities

Protection Support Worker

Twelve (12) Month Full-time Contract Position in Timmins

As a member of the Investigation, Assessment and Ongoing team, the Protection Support Worker will provide preventative and protective intervention services to individuals, children and families. Services will be provided to and on behalf of children who are in the care of the Agency’s child protection services and approved placements.
