Job summary

North Eastern Ontario Family and Children's Services (NEOFACS) in Timmins is seeking an Investigation, Assessment and Ongoing Worker to provide a broad spectrum of children’s services, including prevention and child protection, risk assessments and protection planning. You will document dispositions and coordinate with families and partners.

Fluency in English and French is required; a valid G-class license or access to a vehicle is expected. Occasional travel may be required as part of the role.

• Experience working with children, youth and families.
• Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as required.
• Bilingual English/French is required.
• Must have a valid G Class license or access to a vehicle.

Investigation, Assessment and Ongoing Worker

Full-Time Position in Timmins

As a member of the Investigation, Assessment and Ongoing team, your primary responsibilities will be to provide a broad spectrum of children's services. These services may include, but are not limited to, providing preventative and child protection services to children and families, completing risk assessments, developing protection plans and completing the required documentation necessary for determining disposition.

• An MSW or BSW is preferred (a College Diploma in Social Services may be considered along with other relevant university degrees or diplomas deemed suitable by the Executive Director).
• Experience working with children, youth and families is considered an asset.
• Able to interpret and apply relevant legislative requirements.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Must be willing and able to work flexible hours as required.
• Must be willing to travel as required.
• Bilingualism (English/French) is required.
• Candidates must possess a minimum G2 driver's license at the time of application and be willing to obtain a valid G Class driver's license as a condition of employment or already possess a valid G Class driver's license and have access to their own vehicle.
