Job summary

North Eastern Ontario Family and Children's Services (NEOFACS) in Timmins is hiring for a role in the Investigation, Assessment and Ongoing team. The position focuses on providing a broad range of children’s services, including preventative and child protection work, risk assessments and protection planning.

Applicants should have an MSW or BSW (or college diploma in social services) and be bilingual (English/French).

Qualifications

• MSW or BSW is preferred; a College Diploma in Social Services may be considered.
• Experience working with children, youth and families is considered an asset.
• Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislative requirements.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Must be willing and able to work flexible hours as required.
• Must be willing to travel as required.
• Bilingualism (English/French) is required.
• Candidates must possess a minimum G2 driver’s license and be willing to obtain a valid G Class license or have access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide a broad spectrum of children’s services, including preventative and child protection services.
• Complete risk assessments and develop protection plans.
• Prepare the documentation necessary to determine disposition.
• Collaborate with team and families to support well-being and safety.
