Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Maple Ridge, BC is seeking a dedicated Bus Driver for morning and afternoon routes to transport children to and from school.

The role emphasizes safety, adherence to traffic laws, and assisting students on and off the bus. A Class 4 license and CPR/First Aid certification are preferred, with experience working with children an asset.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience driving a school bus or similar route
• CPR/First Aid Certification required
• Class 4 Driver's license with clean abstract preferred
• Experience working with children is an asset

Responsibilities

• Transporting children to and from school in mornings and afternoons
• Obeying traffic laws and safety procedures
• Performing safety inspections of bus before/after routes
• Assisting students getting on/off the bus as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Pay Range: $21 per hour

Other info: This position will be in the morning to drive children to school and then pickup from school.

What will you be doing?

As a Bus Driver, you will transport children in our care to and from our centres. Responsibilities include:

• Transporting children to and from school in the mornings and afternoons.
• Obeying all traffic laws.
• Performing safety inspections of the bus before and after each route.
• Ensuring safety of all children.
• Assisting students with getting on and off the bus if required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 1+ year of experience driving a school bus preferred (training provided for the right candidate)
• CPR/First Aid Certification
• Experience working with children is an asset
• Class 4 Drivers license with a clear drivers abstract, S Endorsement preferred
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment
