Job summary

Langdon Hall, nestled in Ontario’s countryside, offers a full-time Chef de Partie role. You will manage a kitchen station, ensuring mise en place and service consistency while upholding high culinary standards.

You will mentor Demi Chefs and Cooks, oversee prep, portioning, and plating, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of progressive culinary experience in fine dining or hotel kitchens.
  • Advanced skills across multiple kitchen sections and services.
  • Proven leadership, organization, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs in hot conditions.

Responsibilities

About the Role

We are currently hiring for a full-time, Chef de Partie position. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading daily operations of an assigned kitchen station, ensuring mise en place is complete and service runs with consistency and precision
  • Overseeing preparation, portioning, and presentation of menu items to maintain high culinary and plating standards
  • Supervising and mentoring Demi Chefs and Cooks, providing hands‑on training and supporting team development
  • Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards, including proper food storage, labeling, and waste reduction practices
  • Communicating effectively with Sous Chefs and team members to coordinate service timing and support a calm, collaborative kitchen environment

Pay & Schedule
  • Wage: $23.10 per hour - The kitchen team participates in our Culinary Recognition Program, providing additional earnings distributed with each pay period.
  • Schedule: Full-Time, weekends and holidays required
  • Start Date: TBD
  • An anniversary bonus is awarded at your two-year milestone and each subsequent anniversary.
