Job summary

Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) is seeking a Certified Millwright to join the P&H Milling team. The role involves routine preventative maintenance, service, repair, and maintenance of plant and facilities equipment to ensure safety and reliability in production operations.

We welcome candidates who are certified Millwrights or currently registered as a 3rd-year apprentice. The position is full-time and on-site, with opportunities for growth and development within a Canadian family-owned

Qualifications

• Must be certified Millwright or currently registered as a 3rd-year apprentice.
• Welding and fabrication experience required.
• Able to work in dusty, hot, and outdoor environments.
• Knowledge of quality control and BRCGS standards.
• Physically able to lift up to 25 kg.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Available for on-call work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, align, dismantle and position stationary industrial machinery and equipment according to specifications.
• Inspect, diagnose and repair malfunctioning machinery and equipment.
• Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance on machinery.
• Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, feeler gauges etc.
• Troubleshooting any issues with hydraulic systems.
• Perform general facility maintenance.
• Complete health, safety and food safety training relating to the job.
• Ability to complete fall arrest, forklift, telehandler, and scissor lift training.

Your Team

P&H Milling: P&H Milling is Canada’s largest Canadian-owned milling company, producing high-quality flour and cereal products for bakeries, food manufacturers, and consumers. From coast to coast, we transform Canadian wheat into trusted products that feed families at home and abroad.

We are seeking a Certified Millwright to join our P&H Milling team. This role is responsible for conducting routine preventative maintenance, service, repair, and maintenance of plant and facilities equipment in a safe and efficient working manner. Maintaining the safety and reliability of machineries and equipment is critical in achieving optimal production efficiency of the plant operations and production.

Day to Day

• Assemble, align, dismantle and position stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to specifications.
• Inspect, diagnose and repair malfunctioning machinery and equipment.
• Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery.
• Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, feeler gauges etc.
• Troubleshooting any issues with hydraulic systems.
• Perform general facility maintenance.
• Participate in fumigation/heat treatment. Note: working in higher temperatures is involved during fumigation.
• Complete and comply with all health, safety and food safety training relating to the job.
• Ability to complete fall arrest, forklift, telehandler, and scissor lift training.

• Candidates who are certified Millwrights or are currently registered as a 3rd-year apprentice (or above) will be considered.
