Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited in Saskatchewan is seeking a Certified Millwright to join our P&H Milling team. This full-time, on-site position focuses on routine preventive maintenance, service, repair, and safe operation of plant equipment.

Candidates must be a certified millwright or a 3rd-year apprentice or higher, with welding and fabrication experience, and the ability to work in dusty or hot outdoor environments, lifting up to 25 kg. On-call work may be required.

Qualifications

• Certified Millwright or current 3rd-year apprentice (or higher) is required.
• Welding and fabrication experience is preferred.
• Able to work in dusty, hot outdoor environments and lift up to 25 kg.
• Knowledge of quality control and food safety standards is desirable.

Responsibilities

Your Team

P&H Milling: P&H Milling is Canada’s largest Canadian-owned milling company, producing high-quality flour and cereal products for bakeries, food manufacturers, and consumers. From coast to coast, we transform Canadian wheat into trusted products that feed families at home and abroad.

We are seeking a Certified Millwright to join our P&H Milling team. This role is responsible for conducting routine preventative maintenance, service, repair, and maintenance of plant and facilities equipment in a safe and efficient working manner. Maintaining the safety and reliability of machineries and equipment is critical in achieving optimal production efficiency of the plant operations and production.

Day to Day

• Assemble, align, dismantle and position stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to specifications.
• Inspect, diagnose and repair malfunctioning machinery and equipment.
• Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery.
• Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, feeler gauges etc.
• Troubleshooting any issues with hydraulic systems.
• Perform general facility maintenance.
• Participate in fumigation/heat treatment. Note: working in higher temperatures is involved during fumigation.
• Complete and comply with all health, safety and food safety training relating to the job.
• Ability to complete fall arrest, forklift, telehandler, and scissor lift training.

What You’ll Bring:

• Candidates who are certified Millwrights or are currently registered as a 3rd-year apprentice (or above) will be considered.
• Welding and fabrication experience
• Able to work in dusty, hot, and outdoor environments
• Knowledge of quality control and BRCGS standards
• Physically capable of lifting up to 25 kg
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Available for on-call work depending on business need
