Job summary

Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) Milling division in Springbrook, AB is hiring a Shift Supervisor to lead flour production. You will operate and monitor equipment, oversee a 24/7 team of mill operators, and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency across the line.

At least 5 years in a flour mill and supervisory experience are required, with a diploma in flour milling or related training. Proficiency in MS Office is expected, and flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays is

Qualifications

• Completion of Secondary School Diploma.
• Minimum of 5 years working experience in a flour mill as a Shift Miller.
• A Diploma, Certificate, or Advanced Certificate in Flour Milling or equivalent training in Flour Milling Science and Technology.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise milling operations, ensuring optimal equipment performance, flour extraction, quality standards, and production efficiency.
• Execute production schedules, product changeovers, and flour production processes to meet customer and business requirements.
• Monitor equipment, perform troubleshooting and minor maintenance, and coordinate repair needs through work orders and action plans.
• Support and direct team members, ensuring responsibilities, sanitation activities, and operational tasks are completed effectively.
• Complete inspections, reports, and documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain compliance with GMP, HACCP, BRCGS, food safety, quality, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Report food safety, quality, and security concerns and perform other related duties as required.

Your Team

P&H Milling: P&H Milling is Canada’s largest Canadian-owned milling company, producing high-quality flour and cereal products for bakeries, food manufacturers, and consumers. From coast to coast, we transform Canadian wheat into trusted products that feed families at home and abroad.

We are seeking a Shift Supervisor to join our P&H Milling team. This role is responsible for flour production within the facility, including operating, monitoring, and setting up equipment and machinery. You will lead a team of mill operators in the production and shipping of bulk flour from the facility that runs 24/7.

Day to Day
