Job summary

Tolko Industries Ltd. is seeking a Certified Electrician to join our Lake Country remanufacturing facility in British Columbia.

You will troubleshoot electrical issues, perform preventative maintenance, and lead upgrades across motors and controls to keep our packaging operations running safely and reliably. Qualifications include a valid Interprovincial ticket, PLC/HMI knowledge, CMMS experience (JD Edwards preferred), and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience working as an Electrician with a valid Interprovincial ticket.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) - preferably JD Edwards.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Previous experience in a forest products environment is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical issues and come up with safe, reliable fixes.
• Complete preventative maintenance as well as installations and upgrades, working on a variety of motors, hydraulic motion controls, optimizers and encoders.
• Look for opportunities to continuously improve equipment reliability to come up with solutions that keep our industrial electrical equipment and controls repaired and maintained.
• Carry out maintenance projects and programs.

We’re looking for a Certified Electrician to join our remanufacturing facility in Lake Country, British Columbia. Our Lake Country Division remanufactures different types of wood packaging including bins, crates, and pallets as well as specialty trimming and sizing of plywood and solid wood. Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

• Experience working as an Electrician with a valid Interprovincial ticket.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems.
