Job summary

Tolko Industries Ltd. is seeking Certified Millwrights to join the Heffley Creek division in Kamloops, British Columbia.

You will work in a high-performance team maintaining all mill machinery, including pumps, conveyors, compressors, and hydraulic systems, to keep our manufacturing process running safely and efficiently. The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and sharing knowledge with Apprentices, with a strong focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Certified Millwright with Interprovincial Red Seal Certification.
  • Hydraulic systems troubleshooting experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints, plans and schematics.
  • Commitment to working safely with strong communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Experience with CMMS systems and JD Edwards is a plus.
  • Forest products experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Work with a high-performance team dedicated to maintaining all mill machinery including pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers and chains, bearings and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance and inspect machinery for irregularities.
  • Find safe, creative ways to boost equipment reliability and streamline processes.
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide safe, reliable fixes to keep the mill running.
  • Share knowledge with Apprentices.

We’re looking for Certified Millwrightsto join our Heffley Creek division, located in Kamloops, British Columbia.With approximately 250 employees, Heffley Creek Division produces plywood and veneer products, safely and sustainably while producing approximately 180 million square feet of plywood and 28 million square feet of veneer per year, for customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
  • Certified Millwright with valid Interprovincial Red Seal Certification.
  • Hydraulic systems troubleshooting experience.
  • Ability or read blueprints, plans and schematics.
  • Commitment to working safely coupled with strong communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Organizational and planning skills.
  • Experience with CMMS systems and JD Edwards are considered assets.
  • Previous experience in a forest products environment considered an asset.
