Job summary

MAXI in New Richmond, Quebec, is seeking a courteous cashier to operate the register, handle payments, and assist customers at the physical store. You will greet shoppers, scan items, bag purchases, and ensure accurate daily totals. A helpful, friendly attitude and reliability are essential for success in this on-site position.

The role requires on-site work with no remote option. French language ability is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register and process payments.
• Scan items and bag merchandise.
• Tabulate total payments and provide receipts.
• Receive payment and reconcile daily sales.
• Provide helpful customer service and greet customers.
• Assist customers with self-checkout and promotions.
• Weigh produce and bulk foods when required.
• Promote products and upsell where appropriate.
• Verify age for restricted products as needed.
