Qualifications

• Testing will form part of the qualifications.
• Knowledge of Ontario Works Act, Housing Services Act, Residential Tenancies Act, and Ontario Disability Support Program Act, Regulations and Directives.
• Ability to operate standard and specialized software.

Responsibilities

• Verify and maintain client benefits according to legislation and policies.
• Interview and screen applicants for assistance.
• Determine eligibility and provide financial assistance.
• Offer case management through assessment, planning, referrals and follow-up.
• Assist clients to stabilize and improve quality of life through services and referrals.
• Develop employment/housing action plans and manage community referrals.
• Enter data in automated systems and maintain client records and reports.
• Refer unusual situations to supervisor and support a safe work environment.
