Job summary

On Side Restoration Services Ltd. is seeking a Drywaller/Painter to help rebuild homes and businesses after disaster. You will repair drywall, apply textures, and bring spaces to life with fresh paint.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of drywall repair experience (cutting, mudding, sanding, taping, painting).
• Brush/roller/spray gun paint experience to finish the area for uniformity and completion.
• Construction experience and tool proficiency: you have your own tools for the job.
• Previous experience reading and executing work orders.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, install, and repair damaged drywall.
• Estimate the quantity of materials required by measuring surfaces, reviewing scopes, sketches and work orders.
• Ceiling texture and finish surfaces with tape, mud, sand, and texture.
• Prepare and protect work sites and apply primers, paints, stains, or finishes.
• Match colors and apply coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray guns.
• Cut and install insulation and vapour barrier.

Position Summary

Join On Side Restoration as a Drywaller/Painter and help rebuild homes and businesses after disaster strikes. You’ll repair and finish drywall, apply textures, and bring spaces to life with fresh paint.

Compensation

• Salary Range: $28-$32/hour

What You’ll Do

• Measure, cut, install, and repair damaged drywall
• Estimate the quantity of materials required by measuring surfaces, reviewing scopes, sketches and work orders
• Ceiling texture
• Tape, mud, sand, and texture surfaces
• Prepare and protect work sites
• Prepare surfaces and apply primers, paints, stains, or finishes
• Apply finishes that are sponged, ragged and layered
• Feathering/blending wall paint
• Stucco finishes/repairs
• Match colors and apply coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray guns
• Cut and install insulation and vapour barrier

What You Bring

• 3+ years of drywall repair experience (cutting, mudding, sanding, taping, painting)
• Brush/roller/spray gun paint experience to finish the area for uniformity and completion
• Construction experience and tool proficiency: you have your own tools for the job
• Previous experience reading and executing work orders
• Physically fit: able to do heavy lifting (moving materials) and long periods of kneeling/bending/crouching/reaching
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or collaboratively within a team
• Tech-savvy and comfortable using mobile apps/software for documentation and communication
• Strong communication and people skills
• Detail-oriented, quality-driven, safety-focused
• Valid driver’s licence and clean criminal record (we do check)
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken
