Job summary

AgeCare Ltd. is seeking a Health Care Aide (HCA) to join our care team in Edmonton. Under the supervision of a Staff Nurse, you will provide safe, respectful basic care and support to residents, helping with daily living activities and comfort.

You bring at least one year of relevant experience, a PCA/HCA certificate, and active CLHA registration; post-secondary education is an asset. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for growth in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in continuing care or related environments.
• PCA/HCA certificate or equivalent education.
• Active CLHA registration.
• Post-secondary education is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Bath, shower, and wash residents to promote comfort and well-being.
• Transfer/assist with resident transfers using ceiling lifts and PPE.
• Assist with feeding and meals according to care plan.
• Provide routine treatments under supervision of Staff Nurse.
• Assist residents with mobility and transportation within the facility.
• Escort residents to dining, beauty parlor, physiotherapy and recreation areas.
• Support residents to attend social and therapy events within the facility.
