Job summary

High Tide Inc. through Canna Cabana in Chestermere, Alberta is seeking Full-Time Shift Leaders who are responsible, mature, and customer-focused to supervise daily store operations and lead a team on shift.

You will support the Store Manager in their absence, drive sales, manage staffing, and ensure policy and safety standards are upheld. This role requires flexibility to work nights, holidays and weekends at different locations within Alberta.

Qualifications

• Must have SellSafe Certification.
• Completion of high school and college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training required.
• Demonstrated sales and service orientation.
• Minimum of 2 years work experience in the retail industry; cannabis experience preferred.
• First Aid certification is an asset.
• Excellent time management and prioritizing skills.
• Demonstrated ability to train and motivate staff.
• Ability to lead by example and monitor performance.
• Basic office administration skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels.
• Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.
• Diplomacy and professional attitude.
• Team-building abilities.
• Understanding health and safety legislation.
• Willingness to work nights, holidays and weekends and different locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision support to store management and daily store operations.
• Oversee Store Manager duties in their absence.
• Assist in staffing and resolve customer issues on shift.
• Lead and guide store associates.
• Ensure store standards and policies are followed.
• Support staffing to meet business needs on shift.
• Be the sales and customer service leader in SM/ASM absence.
• Greet and assist customers with exemplary conduct.
• Handle customer complaints and escalate when needed.
• Ensure health, safety, and security regulations on shift.
• Aim for sales targets and KPI achievements.
• Monitor and guide employees to meet goals.
• Oversee inventory management and shift-level inventory processes.
