Job summary

High Tide Inc. operates Canna Cabana in Whitecourt, AB, seeking a Part-time Shift Leader to support daily operations and guest services. You will supervise on-shift staff, assist in meeting sales targets, and ensure health and safety standards are followed.

Prior cannabis retail experience and a SellSafe certification are strongly preferred. The role requires flexibility to cover nights, holidays, weekends, and multiple locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have SellSafe Certification.
• High school diploma and college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training required.
• Minimum of 2 years retail experience; cannabis industry preferred.
• First Aid certification is considered an asset.
• Excellent time management and prioritizing skills required; demonstrated ability to train and motivate staff.
• Skills to monitor and lead by example as required.
• Basic office administration skills required.
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Highly effective teamwork skills.
• Able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.
• Diplomatic and professional conduct.
• Teamwork and team-building skills.
• Thorough understanding of applicable health and safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to store management in supervising daily store operations.
• Oversee store manager duties in the absence of SM/ASM.
• Assist in staffing on shift and resolve customer service issues.
• Direct and guide store associates on shift.
• Maintain store standards and conditions.
• Ensure staffing meets business needs when required.
• Be sales and customer service lead during SM/ASM absence.
• Greet and assist customers exemplifying professionalism.
• Uphold company policies and health and safety regulations.
• Handle customer complaints and escalate as needed.
• Monitor and manage inventory processes on shift.
• Aim to achieve store sales targets and KPIs.
