Job summary

High Tide Inc. in Chestermere, Alberta, is seeking a Retail Store Manager to oversee daily cannabis store operations and profitability. You will manage staff, ensure compliance and customer satisfaction, and drive sales while maintaining stock and visual presentation.

The role requires strong leadership, 5+ years retail supervisory experience, SellSafe certification, and a commitment to high service quality across all shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have valid SellSafe Certification.
• Completion of high school and College/CEGEP/vocational or technical training.
• Minimum of 5 years work experience in a supervisory role in a retail environment.
• Minimum 3+ years of work experience in managerial role in full capacity.
• First Aid certification is an asset.
• Proven excellent customer service skills.
• Management experience preferred.
• Excellent time management and prioritizing skills.
• Demonstrated ability to train and motivate staff.
• Skills to monitor and assess staff performance.
• Basic office administration skills.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong teamwork.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.
• Politically and culturally sensitive.
• Plan and organize work effectively and ensure completion.
• Diplomacy, negotiation, and people management skills.
• Learn and adapt to sales software quickly.
• Ability to work shifts including nights, weekends, holidays and other locations.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with exemplary conduct.
• Address customer complaints professionally for positive resolutions.
• Ensure health, safety and security regulations are met.
• Maintain adequate stock through inventory management.
• Take inventory as scheduled and provide reports.
• Increase sales and promote business within guidelines.
• Verify invoices and track expenditures.
• Ensure merchandise is presented neatly and correctly priced.
• Make sound purchasing decisions with volume discounts.
• Provide management with sales, staff and productivity reports.
• Hold staff accountable for cash box deficits.
• Balance sales, receipts and daily revenue.
• Make daily bank deposits and reconcile statements.
• Coordinate ordering and receiving cannabis and accessories.
• Supervise staff to ensure productive operations at all hours.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
