Job summary

High Tide Inc. operates Canna Cabana, the largest cannabis retail chain in Canada, seeking an experienced Retail Store Manager to run daily operations in Alberta. You will manage staff, ensure customer satisfaction, maintain inventory, and drive sales growth in a dynamic cannabis retail environment.

This role requires a strong background in retail supervision, exceptional customer service, and the ability to work across all shifts, including nights and weekends, at multiple locations if needed.

Qualifications

• Must have SellSafe Certification.
• Completion of High School and College/CEGEP/vocational or technical training.
• Minimum of 5 years work experience in a supervisory retail role.
• Minimum 3+ years in a managerial role in full capacity.
• First Aid certification is an asset.
• Proven excellent customer service skills.
• Management experience preferred.
• Excellent time management and prioritizing skills.
• Ability to train and motivate staff.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Diplomacy and people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers, modelling exemplary conduct.
• Handle customer complaints professionally for positive resolution.
• Ensure health, safety and security regulations are followed.
• Maintain adequate stock via inventory management.
• Take inventory and provide inventory reports.
• Increase sales and promote business to meet goals.
• Verify invoices against packaging slips; track expenditures.
• Present merchandise neatly and ensure correct pricing.
• Source quantities with volume discounts when buying.
• Provide management with sales, staff and productivity reports.
• Hold staff accountable for cash handling and deficits.
• Balance sales and revenue daily; reconcile receipts.
• Make daily bank deposits and reconcile statements.
• Coordinate ordering and receiving cannabis and accessories.
• Supervise staff and coordinate operations across shifts.
• Other duties as assigned.
