Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, is seeking a Manager, Payroll based in Canada. You will lead end‑to‑end Canadian payroll across eight operating entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and data integrity.

You will collaborate with HR, external providers, and senior leadership to drive system improvements, governance, and process optimization while mentoring a payroll team and supporting multi‑province operations.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of payroll leadership experience in multi-province environments.
• Experience with external vendors and audits.
• In-depth knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation and tax.
• NPI CPM or PCP certification required.
• Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and Excel for reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end Canadian payroll operations across eight entities.
• Maintain internal controls, governance, and procedures.
• Monitor regulatory changes and coordinate implementation with HR.
• Oversee payroll tax operations, including amendments and filings.
• Lead payroll-related projects and system implementations.
• Mentor payroll staff and develop best practices.
• Collaborate with HR, external providers, and senior leadership.
