Job summary

UseMultiplier is seeking a Payroll Implementation Manager for Canada. You will serve as the payroll SME for Canadian implementations, leading country-specific activities from discovery through go-live and ensuring compliance with Canadian legislation and best practices.

You will collaborate with Customers, Sales, Product, Engineering and Payroll Operations, drawing on 10+ years of Canadian payroll experience to guide complex deployments and deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' experience processing and implementing Canadian payroll.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Canadian payroll software.
• Expert knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation, tax, social insurance and statutory reporting.
• Experience leading Canadian payroll engines (ideally Rise).

• Act as the recognised SME for Canadian payroll implementations.
• Lead payroll discovery workshops and advise Customers on legislation and best practice.
• Challenge inefficient legacy processes and recommend scalable, compliant solutions.

Role Summary

As the Payroll Implementation Manager – Canada, you will serve as the payroll subject matter expert (SME) for all Canadian payroll implementations. Working alongside a dedicated Payroll Project Manager, who owns overall project governance, timelines and delivery, you will lead all country-specific payroll activities from discovery through go-live. You will ensure every implementation is compliant with Canadian legislation, aligned to best practice, and delivered to the highest quality. You will be recognised as the internal authority for Canadian payroll, providing expert guidance to Customers, Sales, Product, Engineering and Payroll Operations. This role requires a minimum of 10 years' experience managing Canadian payroll, extensive hands–on experience with Canadian payroll software, and fluency in Canadian and English.

Essential:

• Minimum 10 years' experience processing and implementing Canadian payroll.
• Extensive experience operating Canadian payroll in-house.
• Expert knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation, tax, social insurance and statutory reporting.
• Extensive experience with leading Canadian payroll engines (ideally Rise)

Strong stakeholder management and customer consulting skills.

Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Country Requirements:

• Must be based in Canada.
• Must have the legal right to work in Canada.
• Must be fluent in English, and French is an advantage (written and spoken).
• Must have hands–on implementation and operational experience with Canadian payroll software.
