Job summary

Walmart Canada in Nanaimo, BC is seeking a team-oriented associate to participate in a structured maintenance cleaning program, helping to keep the store clean, safe, and compliant with policies.

You will clean all Fresh Departments, assist in inspecting cleaning equipment, ensure supplies are stocked, and cooperate with colleagues to deliver high standards of hygiene and safety.

The position pays at least CAD 18.70 per hour, with opportunities to learn and grow within Walmart's store operations.

• Communicates with the Stocking 3 Coach and cooperates with the associates on a comprehensive cleaning regiment.
• Complies with all Food Safety standards and cold chain guidelines.
• Executes timely cleaning of all Fresh Departments including coolers, freezers and display fixtures.
• Assist in the inspection of all maintenance and cleaning equipment to ensure proper working condition and ensures sufficient supplies are available.
• Promotes a safe working environment by ensuring completion of required in-store certification programs and work in accordance with all Company policies and procedures.
• When required, clean floors following a system of; mopping, sweeping, vacuuming and maintaining carpets, including all non-sales floor areas.
