Job summary

Dexterra Group is seeking a Baker to produce all sweet and savoury bakery items for the bagged lunch program and daily menu service in a remote camp setting. You’ll manage production planning and quality standards under culinary leadership.

The role includes remote camp life with meals and accommodations provided, travel to site locations, private room, Wi‑Fi, laundry facilities, gym and common areas. Rotational schedule 2 weeks on/2 weeks off, nights/holidays possible.

Qualifications

• Current Food Safe certificate is required.
• Large scale camp cooking experience required.
• Red Seal or other certification is an asset.
• Experience in accurately producing weekly inventories.
• High standards in maintaining a clean and organized Kitchen.
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Producing and plating cakes, pies and other items required for menu service.
• Preparing doughs and other preparations as directed.
• Ensuring food safety requirements are followed.
• Completing all HACCP and Production logs as required.
• Labelling and dating all products prepared for service.
