Job summary

Dexterra Group is seeking a Breakfast Cook to prepare and cook breakfast and baked goods for up to 70 clients at a world-class camp facility. The role involves menu creation, baking, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.

Shift is 11–12 hours with a 20 days on / 10 days off rotation; transportation is provided from select dispatch locations. The position requires safety-sensitive work and drug/alcohol testing as a condition of employment.

Qualifications

• Interprovincial Red Seal Certification or culinary education leading to Red Seal.
• FoodSafe Level I is a minimum; SafeCheck/HACCP a plus.
• Minimum 3 years cooking and baking in similar or hotel/institutional environments.
• Experience baking for large numbers of guests.
• Supervisory experience is an asset.
• Ability to stand long periods and lift up to 35 pounds.
• Must achieve 80% on mandatory WHMIS test.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook breakfast for up to 70 clients.
• Create and follow menus to ensure quality.
• Wrap and date baked goods per production schedule.
• Maintain consistent quality and accommodate dietary constraints.
• Ensure proper equipment operation, safety, and sanitation.
• Comply with Food Safety Act and hygiene regulations.
• Clean, wash, and sanitize equipment and work areas.
