Job summary

Aecon Concessions in Calgary is seeking an Engineering Co-op Student to join the Structures Team on the Deerfoot Trail Improvements Project. This site-based role offers hands-on experience with heavy civil construction and collaboration with experienced engineers.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering, CET, Construction Management, or related program.
Experience in the construction industry is a strong asset.
Basic knowledge of construction equipment, drawings, building materials and standards.

Responsibilities

Conduct site audits and provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports to project staff and stakeholders.
Assist Field Engineers and Superintendents with day-to-day tasks.
Perform quantity tracking and productivity analysis to support operational efficiency.
Perform quantity take-offs from construction drawings as required.
Review completed work for quality and accuracy with attention to detail.
Liaise with project staff on the schedule and progress.
Provide data for month-end reconciliation and job cost reporting.
