Job summary

Aecon Concessions seeks an Engineering Co-op Student to join the Structures Team for the Deerfoot Trail Improvements Project in Calgary, Alberta. This site-based role offers hands-on experience with heavy civil construction while collaborating with experienced engineers and field staff.

You will gain insight into resource planning, scheduling, cost control, quality management, and daily field operations related to bridge and structural works, positioning you for a strong start in civil

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering, CET, Construction Management, or related program at a post-secondary institution.
• Experience in the construction industry is a strong asset.
• Basic knowledge of construction drawings, materials, and standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site audits and analysis; provide reports to project staff and stakeholders.
• Assist Field Engineers and Superintendents with day-to-day tasks.
• Perform quantity tracking and productivity analysis to support efficiency.
• Perform quantity take-offs from construction drawings as required.
• Review completed work for quality and accuracy.
