Job summary

Kids & Company is seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Educator to support one-on-one with children, promoting social, emotional, and physical development in a Calgary setting. You will collaborate with therapists and staff to ensure safety and a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• ECE certified (Level 1) is required.
• Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check required.
• Valid Standard Child Care First Aid and CPR Level B required.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist as a 1:1 aid to a child.
• Support children's emotional, physical, and behavioural well-being while helping to develop their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills.
• Maintain attendance records and health and safety checks.
• Work with professionals, such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists, as required.
• Support children through transitions in and out of the classroom.
• Prepare and serve snacks and meals, accommodating allergies and dietary needs.
• Ensure proper food storage and sanitation in line with regulations.
• Assist with field trips, school-age programs, and community events.
